St. Vincent Pallotti
Patron Saint of the Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ
St. Vincent Pallotti, a priest from the Diocese of Rome, founded the Union of the Catholic Apostolate in 1835. The Union is an association of lay people, religious, and clergy that aims to assist the Church’s missionary work, revive the faith of Catholics, and engage in universal charity. From that association grew religious communities of men and women, including the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottine Fathers and Brothers). Pallotti believed that everyone is called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ, both in the Church and in the world.
